Creativity is innately for human consumption, only a human can truly tell if something is creative. This makes it hard for a GAN to be used for creative thinking, since the discriminator would have to just be a human So I don't think you can fully remove the human from the equation, but having work in an ad agency for years, I can tell you that some people are shockingly un-creative. So AI outperform the average person seems about par

Several years back we had a couple broods overlap like this in northern Virginia. I got home from work one night around 10pm and after locking my car I realized there was an odd but rather quiet squishy, gurgling, crawling sound all around me. When I turned on my flash light, my entire front yard was a single crawling mass. It was creepy and cool. They caused all kinds of accidents that summer as people freaked out when the cicadas randomly flew into their face or in their car or whatnot. I don’t mind them, the squirrels get fat eating them, but I do mind cicada killer hornets/wasps, not sure which species they technically fall under. Anyways I know they’re not usually a danger to humans but seeing a hornet the size of a small bird is pretty freaky.

As of right now, it is only negative in the academic sense. I see in some job fields many places implementing AI to help improve product performance and task management. In academia, rather than having an attitude of recognizing and innovating AI for education, it seems that there is a punitive stance to deter AI use.

An animal called the baiji was the first dolphin species to become extinct based completely on human activities. They were declared extinct in 2007 after efforts to find a single dolphin during a 6 week search in 2006 failed. In fact, there may not have been a single confirmed living being since 2002. The populations were said to be up to 5,000 in 1990, 400 in 1980, and just 13 between 1997-1999. They were first discovered in 1918. That means it only took 89 years from the point they were discovered to being declared to be extinct.

LLM just has a lot of input, but does not have the five senses nor experiences. If you talk about symmetry, paintings, the Rubiks cube etc or a rainny or sunny day etc, you have to understand they never saw any examples of those things; never experienced them either.

I live in Illinois in the epicenter of this. The last time the cicadas were here, it was 2007 i believe and you couldn't drive through a forest preserve without hearing them. Theyre super loud. Once youre away from the forest preserves you barely see them. I havent seen any this year yet.

The logic about insurance, is that you spread the risk from an individual to a whole cohort. Such that an occurrence of an event is financial, too expansive for the individual. When predicting an individual's behavior causes an insurance ad absurdum. Because you don't spread the cost evenly to a cohort anymore. Obviously, this is the desire of the insurance company to lower risk and gain more profit, but the idea of spreading risk is lost. But luckily, health insurance companies are not allowed to process such very private data, otherwise the healthcare system would crash, this is in most European countries embedded by law, not the idiotic-false-believed-freedom state. *Addedum; that's why you should only take out insurances, for events which could bring you in a financial ruin. And not for an event like accidentally dropping a smartphone. *Nota Bene; When the prediction of events are "too" good, people will stop paying for the insurance, so the business model of insurances will vanish.
